Modified Bitume Plant

Increased traffic loads and the number of vehicles cause the asphalt road coverings to deteriorate more rapidly. Today, these deteriorations are prevented by using SBS modifying additives, especially in asphalt roadsuperstructure coatings.

To mix the bitumen and SBS homogeneously, a high shear mill is used which mixes the SBS with the bitumen as grinding. It is recommended that the bitumen and the SBS are milled to mix completely homogeneously. The SBS bitumen is preliminarily mixed, at high temperatures, mixed in the special modified bitumen mill.
